General conditions

Liv Housing Conditions for Tenants

1. Prospective tenant means any person who responds to housing for which Liv Housing mediates. Tenant shall mean any person who has verbally or in writing accepted the conditions for renting a specific home.

2. Housing means any housing for which Liv Housing mediates on behalf of an owner/landlord or offers for rent on behalf of fellow brokers.

3. The housing offered is mediated on behalf of landlord.

4. By responding to an offered housing unit, a prospective tenant automatically registers with Liv Housing.

5. A viewing of housing by the prospective tenant is always without obligation and free of charge. This viewing only takes place after the prospective tenant has agreed to and signed the General Conditions of Liv housing for tenants.

6. If, after a viewing, a prospective tenant indicates a desire to be considered for renting the housing unit, a letter of intent to rent is signed.

7. With the signing of the letter of intent, the prospective tenant commits to renting the housing unless the landlord decides not to offer the prospective tenant a lease regardless of the reason. Liv Housing accepts no liability for this choice of the owner/landlord.

8. If prospective tenant qualifies for housing that requires a permit, obtaining this permit is at the prospective tenant’s own expense and risk.

9. All offers made by Liv Housing of housing both written and oral, are without obligation. Candidate tenant can not derive any rights from these offers.

10. All announcements, commitments and contracts offered by Liv Housing and its employees shall at all times be deemed to have been made under the reservation of approval by the landlord and / or owner of the accommodation. Liv Housing can, partly due to its dependence on third parties to obtain information, no guarantee for the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the information provided by Liv Housing.

11. Liv housing is not liable for the way in which the landlord, after the conclusion of a rental agreement, fulfills or does not fulfill his obligations. Candidate tenant should always turn directly to landlord. Candidate-tenant indemnifies Liv Housing for all claims for damages by the owner / landlord and / or third parties in any form whatsoever.

12. Liv Housing is not liable for the consequences of inaccuracies, incompleteness, omissions or ambiguities in the lease which result from incorrect information provided by the landlord to Liv Housing.

13. All disputes between prospective tenant and Liv Housing shall be governed by Dutch law.
